The British Council has been holding an annual job fair and careers development roadshow in some form for over 15 years.
The Job Fair provides UK alumni with the chance to learn more about job opportunities offered by companies and organisations looking for talented graduate candidates. The job fairs are designed to allow UK alumni to meet with top recruiters and attend career development seminars to boost employment opportunities.
In 2021, the job fairs will be held in three cities in China (Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen). These events are open to anyone who has graduated from a UK university and are free of charge. The roles available are most suitable for recent graduates (eg. within the past five years). Each session will also include a seminar delivered by speakers focusing on careers advice and how best to utilise the skills gained from studying in the UK.
Due to Covid-19 regulations, the number of attendees in the venue at one time is restricted. When registering for this event, attendees should confirm which session they would like to attend and whether they would like to attend the seminar (spaces limited).
· Session 1 – 14:00 – 16:00
· Seminar – 15:00 – 16:30
· Session 2 – 16:00 – 18:00
Each session will be two hours long.
During the seminar, speakers from organisations like PwC, FESCO and the British Chamber of Commerce along with experienced UK alumni will offer their expert careers advice, suggestions on how to stand out to recruiters and how to best utilise the skills gained from your time studying in the UK.
