Teach For China (TFC) Founded in 2008, which is a non-profit educational project under the Lead Foundation. The vision of the TFC is that one day, all Chinese children will have access to a quality education. TFC train fellows to serve as full-time teachers in low-income, rural areas where they work relentlessly for two years to equip students with academic and life skills they need to succeed in life. Fellows not only gain invaluable professional and leadership experience through their work but also a deep understanding of China's educational challenges and a long-term commitment to creating sustainable solutions. In the past 13 years, TFC had sent 2,763 fellows to 389 primary and secondary schools in Yunnan, Guangdong, Gansu, Guangxi, and Fujian Provinces in China, teaching a total of 2,899,899 lessons that had affected 815,050 students.
TFC offers fellow with a progressive, staged and professional training and support system including one Summer Institute, two Winter Institutes and four Professional Development Conferences held online and offline, covering fields of teaching pedagogies, career development and core competence development, etc. In cooperation with local educators, we place fellows in under-resourced schools to teach for 2 years.
